What this site is
danovytest.eu is a free, private tracker for the Czech holding-period (time) test. Add each purchase and it shows the exact date it becomes income-tax-free, counts down, and can add a calendar reminder — without an account and without sending your data anywhere.
Who we are
danovytest.eu is a project by Abax — an independent, non-commercial maker of free, private tools. We are not affiliated with the Czech Financial Administration (Finanční správa) or any authority.
Methodology — how it works
- 3-year test for securities (shares, ETFs): exempt once the holding period exceeds 3 years. We show the anniversary plus one safety day, because the law requires it to be exceeded.
- 5-year test for business interests (podíly).
- 100,000 CZK proceeds test — a threshold on total gross proceeds (not profit); exceeding it makes the whole amount taxable, not just the excess.
- 2026: the 40M CZK exemption cap was abolished for securities and business interests (kept for crypto).
- Each purchase is tracked as its own lot with its own clock.
Full details and worked examples are in the tracker's FAQ.
